Armi Rae Cacanindin

She is one of the young independent film producers in the Philippines who has been gaining a lot of exposure in the international scene. Her latest feature project, “I’m Drunk, I Love You.” had its theatrical release, with over 70 cinemas nationwide while her latest short film project, “Jodilerks dela Cruz, Employee of the Month,” premiered at Semaine de la Critic 2017 in Cannes, France and is also in competition at Toronoto Short Cuts this September 2017.

Career Highlights

She participated in Busan’s Asian Film Academy, Berlinale Talents and Talents Tokyo as a producer. She has also participated in the La Fabrique des Cinema du Monde 2016 in Cannes and Torino Film Lab 2017 for the project “Whether the Weather is Fine.”

In a span of 12 years, she has worked for films that premiered at Cannes, Berlin, Busan, Locarno, Tribeca, Toronto, among others. The first film that she produced, under Cinematografica, whom she has been working since 2007, is “How To Disappear Completely” by Raya Martin, which premiered at the Festival del Film Locarno in 2013.

Her latest feature project, “I’m Drunk, I Love You.” had its theatrical release, with over 70 cinemas nationwide while her latest short film project, “Jodilerks dela Cruz, Employee of the Month,” premiered at Semaine de la Critic 2017 in Cannes, France and is also in competition at Toronoto Short Cuts this September 2017.
